Victoria Adams was born April 17th, 1974 in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire, England. She is now known by her married name, Victoria Beckham, or Posh Spice. Beckham rose to fame as part of the 1990s pop confection the Spice Girls whose 3 albums sold over 55 million albums. In the Post-Spice Girls afterlife, Posh has been the highest profile member because of her marriage to soccer icon (footballer) David Beckham. The couple—Posh and Becks-- is followed incessantly by paparazzi making Posh a style setter often seated in the aisles of Haute couture fashion shows and seen on red carpets. Her music career has been followed in British tabloids as a constant pairing as well. Tabloids have covered the releases of her singles as competitions with other high profile releases. Each time Beckham has come up short. Her first single Out of Your Mind in 2000 (with Truesteppers and Dane Bowers) was seen as the battle of Posh vs. Posher. Posher was Sophie-Ellis-Bexton whose song Groovejet (If This Aint Love) outsold hers by 20,000 records. A second perceived battle and massive loss was Poshs Not Such an Innocent Girl (2001) outperformed by Kylie Minogues Cant Get You Out of My Head. Victoria retired from her solo career. Her marriage, 3 children, and move to LA when Becks was signed to the Galaxy team has kept her busy. Now, the Spice Girls have a Greatest Hits album (2007) and much hyped World Tour.
