Veronica Blume was born July 17th, 1977 in Germany. She is a high fashion model of Spanish nationality, and German/Uruguayan descent. By growing up in Uruguay, Austria, and Spain Blume has become fluent in 4 languages. The 5 foot 9 ? inch (1.765 m) tall blue eyed natural blonde often has her hair dyed brown or black for modeling assignments. She got her big break from Eileen Fords agency when she was crowned winner of the Ford Supermodel of the World 1993 at only 16. The honor was given substance when she appeared in the 1994 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Blume has risen to the top of high fashion runway modeling, seen on Tommy Hilfinger and Calvin Kleins stages in 1995 and working the scene steadily ever since. By 2002 she was chosen the Best Model of the Fall/Winter season at the Cibeles Fashion shows in Madrid, another prestigious honor. Although the catwalk is where she has reigned, high profile ad campaigns have included Chanel, Calvin Klein, and Revlon. Shes also appeared on numerous magazine covers, particularly in the country she considers her home, Spain. She was part of what was billed the first North American all Latino cast of t.v. sitcom Out of the Blue (1996) filmed at Seaworld, in Orlando Florida. Blume has a son, Liam, born in 2003.
