Since then she has released 4 more studio albums including 3 that went to #1 such as the self-named Vanessa Paradis in 1992, and Bliss, 2001. Shes had 11 more hit singles in France, and 3 that made it to the UK including Be My Baby, 1992. Her film career started as the 17 year old star of Noce Blanche, or White Wedding (1989). It was one of those attention grabbing Lolita roles about a relationship between a teen and a married, philosophy teacher. The part was perfect for Paradis, with her childlike 5 foot 3 inch body, youthful singing voice, and ethereal, angelic visage often seen pouting seductively in lingerie. Paradis won the Cesar Award—the French equivalent to the Academy Award—for Most Promising Actress. Since then she has continued to be one of the French speaking worlds most sought after entertainers.
