Vanessa Hudgens was born Vanessa Anne Hudgens on the 14th of December, 1988, in Salinas, California, USA. She was home schooled, and has been performing since she was eight. She moved to Los Angeles with her family to pursue her chosen career. She has appeared in Quintuplets, Cover Me, Thirteen, Thunderbirds, and Drake & Josh. However, she came to fame in the Disney Channel movie High School Musical. She was then contracted by Old Navy to appear in their commercials. She is the face of Neutrogena, and has been filming High School Musical 2. She released her debut album, named V, in 2006. She is dating her High School Musical co-star Zac Efron. In 2007, she was plagued by controversy with the release of nude photographs. Her publicist says they were taken privately and it was unfortunate that they were released on the internet. Disney has agreed to continue working with her despite her lapse in judgement.
