Who is Vanessa Gravina?

Vanessa Gravina is January 4th, 1974 in Milan, Italy. At the age of 7, when most children are working their way through their earliest stages of elementary school, Gravina began her career acting on radio, quickly progressing to t.v. commercials and finally getting to the big screen at age 10, when her contemporaries were still not finished with elementary school. Her first movie role was Lightning Bolt (1985), but series television and t.v. movies are where Italian audiences really got to know this rising star. She appeared in mini-series starting with La Voglia di Vincere (The Desire to Win) which led to roles such as Fratelli (1988), Laura and Luis (1989), Milonga (1999), and Ricominciare (2000). She worked her way up to a starring role in Incantesimo 4 (2001) and the same role with less emphasis on her character in Incantesimo 5 (2002). Her acting skills have increasingly been recognized on Italian t.v. where she is considered quite skilled, plus shes grown in front of the eyes of the country from a child into a gorgeous blue eyed, chestnut haired woman. Her most recent 28 episode stint (2005-2007) on Gente di Mare was about the Italian navy with the picturesque backdrop of southern Italy. Finally, in 2007 after 2 months of intensive auditioning Gravina got a part in a touring production of a theatrical comedy called Vestire the Ignudi which she considers a career highlight up to this point.
