Vanessa Angel was born November 10th, 1966 in London, England. She is primarily known as a model and for 2 t.v. roles associated with different actresses—one made famous by someone else on film, the second being a role-that-never-was. Angels modeling career started when the prestigious Ford modeling agency discovered her as a 14 year old at a London cafe which got her to the pinnacle of the industry including Vogue and Cosmopolitan magazine covers. Yet at 5 foot 7 inches tall Angel was wise to enter acting in a small but memorable role in a big budget movie. Her first part was a racy Russian rocket crewperson in the Jonathan Landis comedy Spies Like Us (1985). Other high profile movies followed, but not roles. She appeared in King of New York (1990) starring Christopher Walken and David Caruso, and in Sylvester Stallones Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot (1992). But t.v. gave Angel her longest lasting role—she played the character every one thinks of as belonging to Kelly LeBrock. The Computer Generated Genie Lisa brought to life by 2 nerds in Weird Science (1985) was portrayed on t.v. by Angel from 1994-1998. Angel was later cast as Xena Warrior Princess in a romantic 3 episode arc on t.v. show Hercules. But unfortunately for Angel illness struck, and an extra named Lucy Lawless was cast in her place in what became a 5 year run. Angel is married to actor Rick Otto, the couple has a daughter.
