Tawny Kitaen was born Julie Kitaen on the 5th of August, 1961, in San Diego, California, USA. Her mother was a beauty pageant queen, and Julie began using the nickname Tawny when she twelve years old. It was a nickname of her own choosing. She attended Mission Bay High School, but did not graduate. She began her career as a model, specifically known for appearing in blue jeans. In 1983, she first graced the screens in the telemovie Malibu. She appeared in Bachelor Party with Tom Hanks as his fiancee. Tawny began dating guitarist Robbin Crosby, linking her to the glam metal scene. She appeared on the cover of his self entitled album with a collection of white rats. She also appeared on the cover of his Out of the Cellar album. In 1987 she moved onto David Coverdale, who was the singer of the band Whitesnake. She made an appearance in several of their video clips, and in particular she is remembered for doing the splits and rolling on a Jaguar hood in white lingerie in Here I Go Again. In 1989, the two were married, but they split just a short time later in 1991. From 1992 to 1994, Tawny hosted America’s Funniest People. She had a guest spot on Seinfeld in 1991, and Married… with Children in 1994. Tawny also landed a recurring role in the Hercules franchise – first appearing in three of the Kevin Sorbo telemovies, and then on television series itself. From 1992 to 1996, she voiced Annabelle on Eek! The Cat. She has dated Tommy Lee, O.J. Simpson, Jerry Seinfeld, and she married pitcher Chuck Finley in 1997. They have had two daughters together, and appeared together in a feature on athletes and their wives in 1999s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. In 2006, Tawny appeared on the reality program The Surreal Life. She verbally attacked Florence Henderson, and lost her cool over a telephone call in the finale. She has been arrested twice, admitted addiction to prescription medications, and in November 2006, she was charged with possession of cocaine. In December 2006 she went into drug rehabilitation.
