Who is Tatyana Ali?

Tatyana Ali was born on the 24th of January, 1979, in North Bellmore, Long Island, New York, USA. Her mother was a nurse and her father was a police detective. She is of Panama and Indian origins, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology. At seven years old, Tatyana began her singing career after winning Star Search twice. She was then cast as Ashley Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Her singing was included in a number of ways on the show, but she continued to concentrate on her acting until the sitcom ended. She released her debut album not long after the show closed, entitled Kiss the Sky. In 2005 she returned to acting in the film Glory Road. She is now working on her second album, is appearing in several short films, and has appeared on The Young and Restless. Tatyana was at one time romantically linked to actor Jonathan Brandis, and also to Tevin Campbell. She has also been linked to Justin Timberlake. She has most recently been seen in Hotel California.
