Taryn Manning was born on the 6th of November, 1978, in Falls Church, Virginia, USA. She is a well rounded lass, working as an actress, fashion designer, dancer, and singer/songwriter. In 1981, Taryn’s parents divorced and her mother worked two jobs to support the children. When Taryn was fourteen, in 1992, her father committed suicide. She grew up in a trailer park in Tucson, Arizona. At twelve, Taryn began dancing and studying karate. In 2005, Taryn was on board JetBlue Flight 292 which completed an emergency stop with faulty landing gear. Taryn attempts to keep her private life just that. She was dating actor Derek Magyar at the time of the emergency landing, and he was one of the people she wrote goodbye notes to. She used to have five tattoos, but in 2005 she was having them removed with lasers, and says it’s a very painful process. She enjoys yoga. Taryn began her acting carer in the late 1990s, appearing in The Practice, Boston Public, and Popular. She also auditioned for the series Popstars in 2001. Her first major film role was in crazy/beautiful with Kirsten Dunst. In 2002, she appeared in Crossroads with Britney Spears. She has also appeared in White Oleander, 8 Mile, Cold Mountain, Dandelion, Hustle & Flow, and Weirdsville. In 2003, Taryn and her brother Kellin formed a band, Boomkat. They released a debut album, but were subsequently dropped by their record label. Taryn said they will be back. Taryn designs Born Uniqorn clothing with her friend Tara Jane. Taryn has appeared in Stuff, Maxim, and FHM.
