Tanya Roberts was born Victoria Leigh Blum on the 15th of October, 1954, in the Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. She is known as a sex symbol of the early 1980s. Tanya’s sister is also an actress, Barbara Chase. At fifteen years old, Tanya left school, got married, and hitchhiked across the USA. Eventually Tanya’s mother in law annulled the marriage. Tanya returned to New York City, working as a model and dance teacher. She soon proposed to Barry Roberts in a subway station, and the two married. Barry pursued screenwriting and Tanya studied at the Actors Studio. She landed a couple of commercials, and debuted in the film Forced Entry in 1975. In 1977 they moved to Hollywood, and in 1978 she appeared in Fingers with Harvey Keitel. In 1980, from 2000 actors, Tanya was picked to replace Shelley Hack in Charlie’s Angels. In 1981 she appeared on the cover of People magazine, and in 1982 she appeared on the cover of Playboy to help promote The Beastmaster film. Her career began to stall in 1990 and Tanya turned to erotic cable television thrillers. In 1998 she landed a the role of Midge Pinciotti in That ‘70s Show, and she left in 2001 due to her husband’s illness. He died in 2006 due to encephalitis, and she appeared in That ‘70s Show again that same year for the finale.
