Who is Stacie Orrico?

Stacie Orrico was born Stacie Joy Orrico on the 3rd of March, 1986, in Seattle, Washington, USA. She has four siblings. In 1998, at twelve years old, Stacie went to a Christian music festival in Colorado. She accidentally entered a high stakes talent competition, and won it. A ForeFront Records executive was there, and he approached her for a record deal. She released her debut album, Genuine, in 2000 at just fourteen years old. The album eventually went Gold. Her second self titled album also went to Gold status. She released her third album, Beautiful Awakening, in March 2007. It was initially meant to be released in August 2006, but there were concerns she would be competing with Jessica Simpson, Beyonce, and Justin Timberlake. Stacie has travelled to South Africa as a volunteer to help children with AIDS. She was caught up in the Virgin Records/Capitol Records merger and has said that she has left the company. Her musical status currently remains a mystery.
