Selma Blair was born on the 23rd June 1972 in Southfield, Michigan, USA. She is an actress and sometimes model. After numerous supporting roles in the 1990s, she starred in the film Cruel Intentions and the short-lived TV series Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane in 1999. She has since had notable roles in Hollywood feature films such as Legally Blonde (2001), The Sweetest Thing (2002), and Hellboy (2004). She began acting in the 1990's. She won the best kiss category at the Teen Choice Awards along with co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar for her role in Cruel Intentions. She was originally the choice for Joey Potter in Dawson's Creek, but wanted to go against type. The part later went to a second choice Katie Holmes. She played a serial killer in the 2007 film WAZ. She then played a lesbian in Feast of Love. In 2007/ 2008 Blair has five films coming out, including Hellboy 2 in which she will reprise her role as Liz Sherman. She has also been the face of Chanel, Gap and Miu Miu. Selma has also written for Interview magazine. She has not only graced the cover, but also done interviews.
