Sandra Oh was born on the 20th July 1971 in Nepean, Ontario, Canada to Korean immigrant parents. She is a two-time Genie Award winning, Golden Globe Award winning and a three-time Emmy Award nominated actress. She is known to American audiences for her role as Dr. Chritina Yang in Grey's Anatomy. She has also had roles in feature films like Under the Tuscan Sun and Sideways. In 2005, she made People magazine's list of the 50 Most Beautiful People. However, in 2007 she was listed as the 3rd "Unsexiest Woman Alive" by Maxim magazine. She has also won the Screen Actors Guild's Award. In 2006, she co-starred in the film The Night Listener as "Anna," alongside Robin Williams and Toni Collette. She has also guest starred in the television series, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Judging Amy, American Dragon: Jake Long, Six Feet Under and Odd Job Jack. Although Sandra remains active in feature films, the critically acclaimed Grey's Anatomy remains her primary current occupation. She has said that she has a special insight into the role because her brother was actually an intern at a Vancouver hospital during the first season of the show.
