Samantha Janus was born on the 2nd of November, 1974, in Brighton, England, UK. Her father is a songwriter and her mother is a model. At fifteen years old, Samantha was wild-child, and she left home to live in squats, drink, and take drugs. Eventually she turned it around, and began attending the Sylvia Young Theatre School. In 1991, she won the A Song for Europe competition, and represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest. She only placed tenth, however. Samantha was often mistaken for actress Sarah Alexander. She managed to land role in The Bill, Press Gang, Demob, and she appeared on the West End stage as Sandy in Grease, as a replacement for Debbie Gibson. In 1995, Samantha won the role of Mandy in Game On, and stayed with the show until it’s end in 1998. In 2006, she starred in Home Again, and in the West End production of Guys and Dolls. In 2007, she joined the cast of EastEnders in the role of Ronnie Mitchell. She married Mauro Mantovani in 1997 but they divorced in 1998. She is currently married to Mark Womack, although it seems a little rocky right now.
