Patricia Arquette was born on April 8, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois. Her father was actor Lewis Arquette and her brother, David and sister, Roseanne, are also actors. Her remaining siblings, Alexis and Richmond haven’t entered showbiz. Patricia got her start in Pretty Smart, back in 1986. Her next role was a starring one in Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. From there, Arquette went on to appear in movies like Prayer of the Rollerboys in 1990, The Indian Runner and The Wild Flower in 1991 and Trouble Bound and Inside Monkey Zetterland in 1992. Her other films include True Romance, Ed Wood, Beyond Ragoon, Bringing Out the Dead, Deeper Than Deep and Human Nature. In 2005, she began starring as Alison Dubois in the hit television series, Medium, which chronicle the life of a psychic woman and her family. The series is based on the true life of Alison Dubois and Arquette has won an Emmy for her performance on the show. She has also received two nominations for Golden Globes and one for SAG?s award. She is also very active in promoting breast cancer awareness, due to the fact that her mother died of breast cancer.
