Paola Barale, born April 28, 1967, in Fossano, Cuneo, Italy, got her start in the world of glitz and glamour by being Madonna?s double. Her early years included a few beauty pageants and she also did some modeling, though she never pursued it very enthusiastically. She grew up in Italy, but moved to the United States when she was just seventeen, with dreams of making it big as an actress. Barale traveled between the US and Europe for several years and finally broke into the small screen with La Sai l?ultima?, an Italian-language television series where she played herself as an assistant to Mike Bongiorno, a position she has held for some time in Italy. Later, she took an acting role as Floriana Verdarame in the popular Italian television series, Cascina Vianella, in 1996. Several years later, in 2004, Barale decided to use her knowledge of the fashion industry, where she had once worked as a model, as well as a fashion assistant. She used this experience to partake in the television documentary, Sanremo Fashion. Though her work experience in the television industry is fairly limited, she has risen to fame fairly quickly.
