Pamela Anderson was born in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada on Canada Day, July 1, 1967. After graduation, Anderson moved to Vancouver where she got a job as a fitness model. Her big break came at a BC Lions game where she was picked to be shown on the big screen. Her shot was so popular that she was called onto the field and later Labatt?s (the beer company whose shirt she wore to the game) offered her a modeling deal. Though Anderson turned it down, she later posed for Playboy, appearing on the cover. She has since appeared several more times in Playboy, making quite the name for herself as a sex symbol. Her television career began with Home Improvement and then she moved to Baywatch where she gained a very large following, mostly of men. In 1996, she appeared in the sexy Barb Wire movie and shortly afterwards, did a strip tease on Saturday Night Live, gaining her even more publicity. She has written two books, loosely based on her own life and also appeared in the more recent film, Borat as the lead character’s obsession. Anderson was married for a time to Tommy Lee, the Motley Crue drummer, but they divorced after reported domestic violence.
