Olivia Williams was born July 26, 1968 in London, England. She studied English literature and graduated with a degree in it from Newnham College in Cambridge before going on to study at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School for a couple of years. She then took a position with the Royal Shakespeare Company and did a tour in the US in 1995, acting in the production of Richard III, with Ian McKellen. She got her film start in the film, Emma, in 1996. She has since appeared in a great number of films, as well as several made-for-television movies, including Jason and the Argonauts, Damage and Miss Austin Regrets. Her early film appearances include The Postman with Kevin Costner, The Sixth Sense, Born Romantic, A Knight’s Tale, and Dead Babies. She also has had parts in movies such as The Man from Elysian Fields, The Heart of Me, To Kill a King, and the 2003 version of Peter Pan. Williams was also Victoria in the animated children’s film, Valient. Her biggest movie to date has to be X-Men III: The Last Stand, though her part as Moira McTaggert went uncredited. Her most recent movie is called Flashbacks of a Fool and is due to be released in 2008.
