Who is Natascha Mcelhone?

Natascha McElhone was born Natascha Taylor on the 23rd March 1971 in Hampstead, London, England. She is an actress best known for her roles in Solaris and as Lady Mary Boleyn in the original adaptation of the controversial novel The Other Boleyn Girl. She took lessons in Irish Dancing from age of six to 12, and was educated at St. Mary's Hall School for Girls, an independent boarding school in Brighton, East Sussex. Then she went to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, she graduated in 1993. Her first roles were in two British TV shows, the first in 1991 on Bergerac, the second a year later on Absolutely Fabulous. Although she has made few film appearances, mostly preferring live theatre, her most successful film appearance so far has been 1998's The Truman Show alongside Jim Carrey. She currently stars in Californication as Karen, alongside David Duchovny, a role she originally refused until reading the pilot's script. Natascha married plastic surgeon Dr. Martin Hirigoyen Kelly on the 19th May 1998. The couple lives in London with their two sons.
