Ming-Na (full name Ming-Na Wen) was born on the 20th November 1963 in Macau. She is an American actress. She has been credited with and without her surname, but most credits since the late 1990's have been without it. Her Chinese parents divorced when she was a toddler and her mother and her moved to Pittsburgh, USA, where she grew up. After high school she attended and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from Carnegie Mellon University, the same university as ER producer John Wells attended. Her most prominent role may be as Dr. Jing-Mei "Deb" Chen on the drama series ER. She appeared in the movie version of Amy Tan's novel The Joy Luck Club and played Chun-Li in Street Fighter. She also had a supporting role on the comedy series The Single Guy. Most of her recent work has been as voices in animated movies, the first of these was Mulan, then Mulan 2 as the title character. The came the computer animated film, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within and the animated series, The Batman. She was also the voice actress for Jade, a minor character in the animated series Spawn. Her attempts to return to television have been unsuccessful so far with her best role being four episodes of Two and a Half Men in 2007.
