Who is Michelle Williams?

Michelle Williams, once again, there are two, the first is a singer, songwriter, dancer and actress, currently best known for being a member of the group, Destiny's Child. She was born Tenitra Michelle Williams on the 23rd July 1980 in Rockford, Illinois. She came to prominence as a background singer for Monica, before rising to fame as one-third of the successful Grammy Award winning musical group Destiny's Child from 2000 to 2005. She is currently playing the character Shug Avery in the musical The Color Purple which has been on tour for most of 2007 to full houses. The second Michelle Williams was born on the 9th September 1980 in Kalispell, Montana, USA, she is an Academy Award nominated actress who is best known fro her role on the teen television series Dawson's Creek from 1998 to 2003, and her Academy Award nominated performance in Brokeback Mountain in 2005. Her career began in television, appearing in programs such as the 90's version of Lassie, Baywatch and Home Improvement. Her first film role was in Species in 1995. She was engaged to Australian Actor Heath Ledger and gave birth to their daughter in 2005 but in 2008 the couple split.
