Mia Kirshner was born on the 25th January 1975 in Toronto, Canada. She is a television and movie actress. In 1993, she played a dominatrix in the movie Love and Human Remains and won a Genie nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role. The year after she starred in Exotica. In 1995, she auditioned for the role of Jennie in the controversial Larry Clark film Kids, however lost out to Chloe Sevigny. In 1996, she appeared in The Crow: City of Angels. She also appeared in the first three episodes of the television series 24 as bisexual terrorist Mandy in 2001. She would later reprise the role for the second season's finale and in the latter half of the show's fourth season. In 2006, she starred in Brian De Palma's movie The Black Dahlia, alongside Josh Hartnett, Aaron Eckhart, Scartlett Johansson and Hillary Swank, she plays the actress who was murdered in 1947. She has played Jenny Schecter on the hit series, The L Word since the show began in 2004. She recently reprised her role in season four, which will be aired during 2007 in the US. She also appeared in Marilyn Manson's 2001 music video for Tainted Love.
