Melissa Joan Hart was born on the 18th April 1976 in Smithtown, Long Island, New York. She is an actress and director who is best known for two television series, Clarissa Explains It All from 1991 to 1994 and in the title role on Sabrina, The Teenage Witch from 1996 to 2003. She also did the voice of Sabrina in the animated series Sabrina: The Animated Series from 1999 to 2001. She made the pilot for Sabrina before her role on Clarissa ended but it was two years before the producers decided to make the series. Her other role for which she is remembered is in the miniseries Kane & Able in 1985 though some people say her next most memorable role was as the bride in her own docudrama Tying The Knot: The Wedding of Melissa Joan Hart about her own wedding. She began her directing career while working on Sabrina, she actually directed three episodes of the show and in 2000 made a fifteen minutes film, Mute, starring her sister, Emily. On the 19th July 2003 Melissa married Mark Wilkerson, a member of the band, Course of Nature. In January 2006 she and Wilkerson had a son, they are expecting their second child in early 2008. She has directed the bands last three music videos.
