Melissa George was born August 6th, 1976 in Perth, Australia. She is a model and actress who has won all 3 acting awards for which she was nominated: 1994 and 1995 Logie Awards—Australian t.v. awards— for her role in a soap opera about the residents of a coastal town called Summer Bay. After coming to Hollywood the first high profile part she landed was in the show Alias, a 23 episode stint (2003-2005) as Lauren Reed which got her industry attention and a 2004 Cinescape Genre Face of the Future Award from the Academy of Sci Fi, Fantasy and Horror. Now this real life former roller skating champion (silver and bronze medalist in national championships held in Australia) is steamrolling her way through an interesting and varied career. She filmed 3 movies in 2006: Music Within, her addition to the newly popular trend of turning graphic novels into films—this one co-starring Josh Hartnett called 30 Days of Night— and a film called Waz. In addition, she is a spokesmodel for a cosmetics company and a jewelry company (Napoleon Perdis, and Linneys) and her roller skating start was honored by her appointment to the 52nd World Artistic Roller Skating Championships ambassador of 2007. George is married to Claudio Dabed.
