Meagan Good was born on August 8th, 1981 in Panorama City, California. She earned every bit of her hard won current success as a fast rising star. She first started getting work as an actress at only 10 years old in an episode of a short running show called Gabriels Fire, in an episode directed by Mario Van Peebles called Birds Gotta Fly where she was Young Girl. She continued getting very small parts in big productions like House Party 3 (1994), Friday (1995) and an ABC Afterschool Special with the cringe worthy title Me and My Hormones. That obvious universe of embarrassment paid off, finally, in 1997 when Good was cast in Eve’s Bayou as a leading character named Cisely Batiste billed above a glittering group of actors including Samuel L Jackson, Lynn Whitfield, Diahann Carroll, and Branford Marsalis. It was a story set in 1962 Louisiana about an African American familys secret pain and betrayals. The movie received 8 film award wins and 14 nominations with Goods first 2 of 8 career award nominations thus far. Now she receives regular series television roles, and leading parts in films for the youth market including D.E.B.S (2004), You Got Served (2004) and Stomp the Yard (2007).
