Who is Mayra Veronica?

Mayra Veronica was born August 20th, 1980 in Havana, Cuba and raised from the age of 4 onward in the U.S. She is a model, singer, calendar girl and t.v. personality. Her father was a famous Cuban celebrity in the band Los Dada, so it was natural for Veronica to study voice, classical dance, and acting. She attended Florida International University in Miami, Florida and received a Psychology degree with a minor in Theatre. However, it was the hard-to-miss ultra voluptuous figure beneath that well trained brain that brought Veronica notice when she landed a modeling spot on Univision—the Spanish language channel in the U.S. Soon all the mens magazines (clothed, but just barely) wanted her including FHM, Maxim and the African American and Hispanic versions of the same ilk, Smooth, King, Urban Male and Open Your Eyes. Veronica was included in the FHM 2004 calendar, a Univision calendar (their best selling of 2005) and shes landed coveted advertising gigs from Burger King, Coca Cola, Nike, to Loreal. Womens markets have included Cosmopolitan magazine, Latina, InStyle, People en Espanol, and Shape magazine. Veronica is now trying to parlay all the attention into a music career with a solo album released in 2006 called Vengo Con To.
