Marguerite Moreau was born April 25th, 1977 in Hemet, California. She began acting in episodic t.v. by age 14, but managed to complete her higher education too. Moreaus first big break was as a character who happens to share her last name, Connie Moreau, in the mawkish movies about adolescent hockey triumph, the Mighty Ducks and its sequels (1992, 1994, 1996). Moreau also landed a key supporting role in Queen of the Damned (2002), the movie that starred ill-fated singer Aaliyah who died in a plane crash before the movie was released. Aaliyahs untimely death helped Queen of the Damned reach number one at the box office its first week. For Moreau that meant exactly what it had earlier in her career, similar offers followed successful movies. In the middle of the Mighty Ducks series Moreau was asked to be in Free Willy 2 (1995). Following Queen of the Damned she won the lead role created by Stephen King—previously played by Drew Barrymore— in the t.v. sequel about the pyrokinetic girl, Firestarter 2: Rekindled. Moreaus education never suffered, she completed her Political Science degree from Vassar midcareer in 1998.
