Who is Mar Flores?

Mar Flores was born June 11th, 1969 in Madrid, Spain. The 5 foot 11 inch (1.8 m) model/actress was chosen by French Elle Magazine as their Face of the 90s. Her first television role was in Bellezas en la Nieve in 1991, a Spanish (European) game show. Some small episodic work followed but her real break came in the role of Helena in Canguros (1994-1996), an award winning comedy in which Flores appeared in 26 episodes near the shows end. This helped her get starring and co-starring roles in Resultado Final (1998) and Ada Madrina (1999). Yet all of her modeling and film credits have been overshadowed by the true source of her popularity—an exciting romantic life filled with scandal which has included much senior millionaire Fernando Fernandez-Tapias, singer Bertin Osborne, and even nobility, a Count Alexander Lecquio with whom photographic evidence came forth of their relationship at an inopportune time for the Count. Flores later married a second count, Count Carlo Constanzia di Castiglione. In spite of the fact that Flores and Castiglione had a son, they managed to get an annulment after their mutual interests in maintaining the marriage disintegrated. In 2001, Flores married Javier Merino and they have 2 children of their own together.
