Lysette Anthony was born on September 26th, 1963 London, England. Shes a prolific and highly regarded actress with enormous success on stage, television, and in film. Shes in the mold of British actresses like Dame Judy Dench in a theatre-television-movie system that would be unsurprised to see an actress to turn up in a sitcom one year, an Academy award nominated movie the following year, and onstage in a comedy two years afterward. In Anthonys case her on stage work has included riproaring comedic turns to Ibsens morality play about infidelity and incest, Ghosts. She was much appreciated in the runaway hit The New Statesman performed in Londons West End at the Trafalgar Studios co-starring the enormously popular funny man, Rik Mayall. The two have recently reprised their roles to yet another sell out hit run at the New Wimbledon Theatre in 2007. Anthonys been equally memorable and familiar on the telly to small screen British audiences. From 1985-1989 she was the lead female in a comedy about a couple with backgrounds of contrasting wealth in a popular sitcom Three Up, Two Down. Shes been in many other shows including 15 episodes on a highly decorated series called The Bill.
