Luz Elena Gonzalez was born on August 22nd in 1970 in Guadalajara, Jalisca, Mexico. The 5 foot 8 inch (1.73m) actress is cousin to Susana Gonzalez, another Mexican actress. She was the 1994 Miss Mexico and came in sixth in the Miss Universe pageant. Her entertainment career has been marked as much by her roles in telenovelas (Spanish soaps intended to run for determined periods of time, like one season) as it has by her appearances on Big Brother VIP (2004) as herself. Fans are abuzz about recent talks with Gonzalez to have her pop up as a character in a telenovela watched by characters on the U.S. version of Ugly Betty, especially Bettys parents.
