Lisa Marie can be one of two fascinating women. The first was born Lisa Marie Smith on December 5th, 1968 in Piscataway Township, New Jersey, and dropped the last name for her show business career. Although her own career in modelling and acting involves primarily small parts, shes closely associated with three infamous iconoclasts and one attention-grabbing advertising campaign. She modelled for the celebrated and notorious photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, she was featured in the best known perfume advertising campaign for Calvin Kleins Obsession, and shes worked with two quirky directors, Woody Allen and Tim Burton. While Lisa Marie only had a small role in the Woody Allen film Alice, her relationship with Tim Burton was significant, romantic, and professional all at the same time. The two had an affair that was rumoured to have saved Burton from mental illness and threats of taking his own life. While they were together Lisa Marie had small roles in all of Burtons movies and when the relationship ended, so did most of her film career. To the legions of fans of Elvis—Lisa Marie will always be his only child, the daughter for whom he named his aircraft. Lisa Marie Presley entered the world February 1st, 1968 and has been building up a respectable music career in her own right with her most recent album being Now What released in 2005.
