Laura Prepon was born on the 7th March 1980 in Watchung, New Jersey, USA. She is an actress best known for her roles in That 70's Show and October Road. Her acting experience was limited prior to her audition for That '70's Show. Her first job was a 1995 television commercial for MCI. In 1996 she studied drama with acting teacher Caroline Thomas at Thomas' Total Theatre Lab. In 1997, she premiered as Chloe on a Levi Strauss-developed show called They Go On, an Internet-based soap opera. Prior to being cast on That '70s Show, she also spent some time as a model in Paris, Milan and Brazil. She has graced the cover of Maxim twice, once with her natural red hair and once with her hair dyed blonde and has done a TV advertisement for GAP clothing. She was an executive producer of Robert Hall's debut film Lightning Bug. She had a cameo voice appearance as a United Nations Space Command marine in Halo 2, released in 2004. She was an executive producer of E! Hollywood Hold'em and hosted the program's first game. The 2006 movie Karla caused a substantial stir in Canada. The movie is based on the true story of Canadian serial killers, Karla Homolka (Laura in the film) and Paul Bernardo.
