Lara Flynn Boyle was born on the 24th March 1970 in Davenport, Iowa. She is an actress. Her first film role was a bit part in Ferris Bueller's Day Off in 1986, which earned her a SAG card though her scene was cut from the final movie. She then appeared in Amerika in 1987 followed by Poltergeist 3 in 1988 and Dead Poets Society in 1989 before landing her first major part, and the role which made her well known, playing Donna Hayward in the critically acclaimed TV series Twin Peaks. When the series ended in 1991, creator David Lynch produced a movie, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, but - largely due to her rise in fame and fee she wasn't cast in the role in the movie. She spent most of the 1990's trying to break into the big league as a Hollywood leading lady but without much success. Finally, in 1997, Lara auditioned for the title role in Ally McBeal but she didn't get it. Again her luck was in, the same production company was also casting for The Practice, Lara was offered the part of Assistant District Attorney Helen Gamble, the role she is best known for. She played the part for six seasons on the show until its rating fell away and she was fired, along with most of the original cast. Her best-known movie role is as the sultry alien villainess in Men In Black 2.
