Kristin Kreuk was born on the 20th December 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She is an actress best known for her roles on the top rating Canadian teen soap Edgemont and as Lana Lang, Clark Kent's star-crossed love on Smallville. After shooting the first season of Edgemont and getting herself an agent, Kristin landed the lead role of Snow white in a TV movie entitled Snow White: The Fairest of Them All. The film, shot in Vancouver, also starred Miranda Richardson. After Snow White, her agent sent an audition tape to the screenwriters that were putting the cast of Smallville (which was to shot in Vancouver) together, she was asked to come to Burbank to audition for the role of Lana Lang. Her initial reaction was not favourable, as she believed the role called for a gorgeous cheerleader type, in her words, "a shallow idiot" However, upon reading the graveyard scene from the pilot; she was so impressed that when she was offered the role, she immediately accepted. Other than what is already listed she has been in one TV miniseries and one short film, plus a minor part in the movie Partition. Those are her total credits to date. According to the tabloids she doesn't have a private life, they have labelled her as one of the Hollywood "Good Girls" (their term for boring), meaning she doesn't get drunk or crash cars or get arrested or show all of her body off, though she still lives in Vancouver.
