Kirsty Hume was born on the 4th September 1976 in Ayr, Scotland. She was a supermodel. She came to prominence in the fashion world in the early 1990's. A columnist likened her appearance to a Botticelli angel. In 1996 she was the feature model for Chanel ads. She has modelled for Victoria's Secret. Following a 1997 Paris showing of Karl Lagerfeld designs for Chanel, Kirsty was queried by a Russian TV reporter. He asked her what was the most exciting part of her job. She answered, "the money". She modelled for Donatella Versace at the Milan Fashion Show in 1998. She patronised the famous 26th Street flea market in Manhatten when shopping for Momo Falana, a line of hand-dyed dresses made from vintage lingerie, the business sells by appointment only. She married rocker and actor Donovan Leitch, Jr. in 1997 in Scotland, they have a daughter. After they married they moved to Woodstock, New York, Kirsty has not officially retired but hasn't been seen on a runway since 2003, since moving to the isolated rural property Kirsty has been studying painting and paganism. She is known for walking around the small hamlet in flip-flops and Birkenstocks.
