Who is Kim Cattrall?

Kim Cattrall was born on the 21st August 1956 in Widnes, England. She is a Canadian actress. She is best known for her role as Samantha Jones in the television comedy Sex and the City. She is also well known for her movie roles in Police Academy and Mannequin in the 1980's. When she was less than a year old, her family immigrated to Canada. When her grandmother became ill, she returned to England at the age of eleven but returned to Canada at age sixteen to complete high school. As soon as she left high school she moved to New York City. There, she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and upon her graduation signed a five-year movie deal with director Otto Preminger. A year later, Universal Studios bought out that contract. Her first role for Universal was in the movie, Rosebud in 1975. She has worked ever since, plenty of roles are offered to her every year but she has never been one of Hollywood's "big stars". After her contract was up she kept working for Universal but now branched out into the theatre work as well, something she still does today. She is currently working on the Sex in the City movie. She ahs been married three times and is currently single.
