Kerry Katona was born on the 6th September 1980 in Warrington, Cheshire, England. She is a television presenter, writer, magazine columnist and former pop singer with the band Atomic Kitten. After she left school at age 16 to become an exotic dancer (stripper) she then joined a dancers group that toured Europe. She gained fame for being a member of the girl group Atomic Kitten. However she left in 2001 when she became pregnant. The band enjoyed very little success in the UK but was big in South East Asia, including Australia. The bands biggest success came just after she left the band with the hit Cradle. She later admitted to never singing on any of the group's songs, although her spoken voice was featured on the group's biggest hit Whole Again which reached number one shortly after she left the girl group. In 2001, a nude photograph of her appeared in the UK tabloid newspapers. After her messy divorce in 2004 she started using drugs and prescription pills, this cost her custody of her two children at the time but she went to rehab and has said she has been "clean ever since". Her television career has taken off in the last three years, she has been a judge on the show that picked Ireland's Eurovision Song Contest and won a celebrity version of a reality TV show.
