Keri Russell was born on the 23rd March 1976 in Fountain Valley, California, USA. She is a Golden Globe winning actress and a dancer. She has appeared in a number of made-for-television films and television series during the mid-1990's, she came to fame for portraying the title role of Felicity Porter on the series Felicity, which ran from 1998 to 2002. Russell has since appeared in several films, including We Were Soldiers (2002), The Upside of Anger (2005), Mission: Impossible lll (2006) and Waitress (2006). Her first three movie roles (Honey, I blew Up the Kid in 1992, The Babysitter's Seduction in 1996 and Eight Days a Week in 1999) were by her own admission "very forgettable", but she also said at that time she was still learning the business. Russell first appeared on television as a cast member of the New Mickey Mouse Club Variety Show from 1991 to 1993 and co-starred with future pop stars Chritina Aguilera, Brittany Spears, JC Chasez and Justin Timberlake. When Felicity ended, Russell took a break from acting and even considered quitting the profession. She moved to New York City and took two years off to avoid the business of Hollywood, spending time with friends. It was during this time that she met her husband, who is a carpenter, they have one child, a son.
