Who is Kelly Monaco?

Kelly Monaco was born on the 13th May 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. She is a Glamour Model and actress. She grew up with a love of sports such as soccer, swimming and track, and worked as a lifeguard for several years while attending a community college until she broke into modelling. As a young adult, Kelly moved to Los Angeles with dreams to become an actress. Success was limited for several years. In 1999, she landed her first major role on the soap opera, Port Charles, for which she was nominated for an Emmy. Kelly has been nominated twice for an acting Emmy, the second time for her current role as Samantha McCall on the soap opera General Hospital. Her years as a lifeguard also helped her when she auditioned for a role on Baywatch in 1997, she won the role as well as playing the body double to Carmen Electra who could not swim. She spent two seasons on the show. In 1996, Kelly sent nude modelling photos of herself to Playboy and in April 1997 she became the Playboy, Playmate of the Month. She worked for Playboy through most of the 1990's. In 1999 she won the role on Port Charles and set about "cleaning up my image" which she has done successfully, now she is in demand for reality TV shows like, Punk'd and Dancing with the Stars.
