Kathleen Turner was born Mary Kathleen Turner on the 19th June 1954 in Springfield, Missouri, USA. She is an Academy Award nominated actress, best known for her roles in Body Heat in 1981, Romancing the Stone in 1984 and Prizzi's Honor in 1985, for the voice over in Who Framed Roger Rabbit in 1988 and The War of the Roses in 1989. In 1978, Turner made her acting debut in the television daytime soap The Doctors, but she was fired the next year because the producers felt she was "not hot enough". She made her film in 1981 as the ruthless Matty Walker in Body Heat, which many critics consider one of the sexiest films ever. In 1988's toon-noir Who Framed Roger Rabbit, she provided the voice of cartoon femme fatale, Jessica Rabbit. Her uncredited, sultry performance was acclaimed as "the kind of sexpot ball-breaker she was made for." She also voiced the famous line, "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way". At the height of her fame he boasted that "on a night when I feel really good about myself, I can walk into a room, and if a man doesn't look at me he's probably gay". She was diagnosed in 1992 with rheumatoid arthritis, which severely restricted her activities. With new drugs she beat the disease and made worldwide headlines by appearing naked (age 45) in the London stage production of The Graduate, which later moved to Broadway in New York.
