Julia Louis-Dreyfus was born Julia Scarlett Elizabeth Louis-Dreyfus on the 13th January 1961 in New York, New York. She is an Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award-winning actress and comedian who gained popularity while playing the role of Elaine Benes in the sitcom Seinfeld through most of the 1900's. She currently stars in the sitcom, The New Adventures of Old Christine on CBS. Julia comes from a wealthy New York family known for owning the Louis Dreyfus Group, an international commodities trading and merchandising firm. After high school she went to Northwestern University but dropped out before graduating to pursue her career. She was, however, awarded an honorary Doctor of Arts degree from Northwestern University in 2007. Since 1987 she has been married to actor/writer Brad Hall, whom she met while they were students at Northwestern. Hall also worked with her on Saturday Night Live. They have two sons, Henry (born 1992) and Charles (born 1997).
