Jessalyn Gilsig was born in 1971 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She is an actress who is most well known for her roles on television. She has been in Boston Public, Nip/Tuck, NYPD Blue and the current hit series Prison Break. Jessalyn began acting at age 12. She later attended Harvard's American Repertory Theatre and also attended McGill University from 1989 to 1993, graduating with a degree in English. She moved to New York in 1995 and began by appearing in several off Broadway plays. From there she graduated to television, first she got the attention of renowned producer David E. Kelley with two appearances in The Practice, he wanted her for the lead role in Boston Public, which she accepted and spent three seasons doing. This role made her a household name in the US. After she left the show in 2002 she was quickly back in work, on the show Nip/Tuck, a role she still plays today. While doing this show she has also appeared five times in NYPD Blue, four episodes of Prison Break and a guest spot on Law & Order. Jessalyn currently plays the part of Meredith Gordon on NBC's hit show, Heroes. She is married to Bobby Salomon and they have one daughter.
