Jennifer Tilly was born Jennifer E. Chan in Harbor City, Los Angeles, California, USA on the 16th September 1958. Following her parents' divorce when she was young, she was raised by her mother and stepfather, John Ward, in rural British Columbia, Canada. Her sister is actress Meg Tilly. Jennifer began her acting career in her teenage years. Her adult acting career began with a recurring guest role on the hit TV series, Hill Street Blues, she played a mobster's widow romantically involved with the lead detective. Her film breakthrough role was in The Fabulous Baker Boys in 1989. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Woody Allen's "Bullets Over Broadway" in 1994. The following year she was ranked twenty-third in Celebrity Sleuth's "25 Sexiest Women of 1995". In recent years Jennifer is better know for her voice over work on TV shows like, The Family Guy, Monsters Inc., Stuart Little, Home on the Range and Disney's The Haunted Mansion. Jennifer has also become a professional Texas Holdem Player, almost. Her current partner is professional poker player Phil "Unabomber" Laak, and she has been christened "the Unabombshell" on the circuit. She has won over $300,000 so far.
