Jennifer Aniston was born February 11, 1969 in Sherman Oaks, California. Her father, John Aniston, was an actor and appeared in Love of Life and Search for Tomorrow. Jennifer didn’t get bit by the acting bug until she began to perform in Off-Broadway plays such as Dancing on Checker’s Grave. In 1989, the young actress made her move to Los Angeles. By the following year, she had found a role on the short-lived program Malloy and the made-for-television movie Camp Cucamonga. Her early acting years were full of shows that never made it, Ferris Bueller, The Edge and Muddling Through. Her appearance in the badly criticized movie, Leprechaun caused her to reconsider her choice to become an actress. Then she auditioned for Friends. The role of Rachel Greene would skyrocket her to fame and she played the role for the ten years that the show was on. She received five Emmy nominations for her portrayal of Rachel as well as one million dollars per episode for the last two seasons of Friends. During this time, Aniston also took roles in a variety of movies such as Along Came Polly, Rumor Has It and Bruce Almighty, her biggest blockbuster to date. Her most recent project is a movie called Wanted that is set to be released in 2009.
