Jeanette Biedermann was born February 22, 1981, in Berlin, Germany. As a young girl of six, she performed as an acrobat in the Circus Lilliput . Later, in an abrupt switch of career interests, she began to study to become a hairdresser. She dropped out of hair dressing school, however when she won a Bild-Schlagerwettbewerb competition, coming in first over 120,000 contestants. In 1999, she recorded Das Tut Unheimlich Weh, her only entirely German single. A year later, she took the role of Marie Balzer in the popular German soap opera, Gute Zieten, Schlechte Zieten. The combination of being a famous soap opera star mixed with music made for some great publicity and Biedermann released her second single, in English this time, called Go Back. It hit the top ten on Germany?s charts and she added it to her album, Enjoy. Shortly afterwards, she brought out Delicious, right after winning an ECHO for Female Artist National. With two gold albums, Biedermann was on a role and brought out her third album, Rock My Life in 2002. A year later, Break On Through came out and was received with open arms, reaching record heights for the young singer. Her most recent album is Naked Truth, released in 2006.
