Who is Izabella Miko?

Izabella Miko, born in Poland on January 21, 1981, has made a name for herself as both an actress and a model. She was born to two actors, both famous within Poland, Grazyna Dylag and Aleksander Mikolajczak. Izabella grew up in Warsaw, studying to be a ballerina. She took on some small acting roles in a few films when she was very young and was gifted a scholarship by a choreographer at the age of fifteen and traveled to the United States with her mother to study. In New York, the seven days a week of rigorous practice caused her body to incur serious injuries and at the age of seventeen, the young dancer suffered from injuries to her knees and back. It soon became obvious that she would no longer be able to dance professionally as had been her dream since she was a child. Izabella quickly turned to acting and began to take parts in assorted acting jobs. She was in Coyote Ugly, The Forsaken, Minimal Knowledge and Bye Bye Blackbird. Her television credits include Deadwood, where she was cast in three episodes. However, Miko?s career tends toward films and her credits include Crashing, Dark Streets, Save the Last Dance 2, and Waiting. Her most recent films are The Spiderwick Chronicles, Repo, Skip Tracer, and Flakes.
