Izabel Goulart, born in Sao Carlos, Brazil on October 23, 1984, is a Brazilian supermodel. She got her start with Ney Alves after someone commented on her uncommon beauty in a supermarket. The young Goulart, buying groceries with her mother, took the words to heart and shortly afterwards, moved to Sao Paolo to pursue her career as a model. After working with Ney Alves for a short time, Goulart headed for the runways. In her very first show, her garment gave way, giving the media plenty to talk about and the young model was horribly embarrassed. However, she was far from giving up and headed back out with designers such as Michael Kors, Greg Kadel, Valentino and Oscar de la Renta, among many others. She also worked with Victoria’s Secret, appearing first in a fashion show with their lingerie and then became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2006. Beyond catwalk modeling, she has appeared on the cover of Vogue, both the French and the Japanese versions, as well as French and Numero magazine. The model has done some acting, too, making guest appearances on television shows like Two and a Half Men and Entourage.
