Itati Cantoral, a Mexican actress, was born May 13, 1975. Her parents were already fairly well-known in Latin America, her mother being Argentinean actress Itati Zucci and her father the famous songwriter Roberto Cantoral. With such auspicious beginnings, the little Cantoral was bound for great things. She started acting at a very young age and by the time she was thirteen, she was accepted into Centro de Educacion Artistica, a well-known acting school in Mexico. Her first appearance on television was in the program La Telarana. Next, she was cast in the popular telanovela, Muchachitas (Little Women), which ended up going big all over Mexico, sending her career into overdrive. She went on to appear in several other Spanish-language television shows, some telanovelas, others not. Her extensive credits include De Frente Al Sol (In Front of the Sun), where she met Eduardo Santamarina, her future husband, Dos Mujeres, Un Camino (Two Women, One Road), Maria la del Barrio (Maria of the Ghetto), Tu y Yo (You and Me), and Salud, Dinero y Amor (Health, Wealth and Love). She has also appeared in a number of theatrical plays as well as the musical cabaret in Mexico City.
