Who is Hudson Leick?

Hudson Leick, whose first name is actually Heidi, was born on May 9, 1969, in Cincinnati, Ohio. During high school, Leick moved to New York where she studied drama at the Neighborhood Playhouse acting school. After graduation, she became a well-traveled model, taking jobs all over the world, including Japan. Feeling rather insecure because she was too short to be very successful as a model, Leick left the modeling world and began to act, landing the part of Callisto, the Warrior Queen in Xena: Warrior Princess. The part allowed her to bring up the anger and rage from her past and channel it into portraying an evil goddess. Then she turned around and played an angel, a role she was cast in for Touched By an Angel. The blonde warrior actress has also appeared on a variety of television shows as a guest star, including Safe Harbor, Tru Calling and FastLane. Other television roles include short appearances on Law and Order and University Hospital. She also had a recurring role on Melrose Place, as Shelley Hanson. Her films are all independent ones, such as Blood Type, Chill Factor, The Last Hand and Dangerous Cargo. She now teaches yoga in Los Angeles.
