Holly Valance was born in Australia on May 11, 1983. Her real name is Holly Rachel Vukadinovic, it’s easy to see why she took Valence on as a stage name. Her father is Serbian and Holly carries a Serbian citizenship in addition to her Australian one. In 1999, she took on the role of Felicity in the hit Australian soap opera, Neighbours and continued to act the part for the following three years. During this time, her music career began to flourish as well, with her single Kiss Kiss, which hit Number One on the charts in both Australia and the UK. She released another single, Down Boy, which only got as high as number two on the charts, before bringing out her first full album, Footprints in 2002. She brought out a second album, State of Mind, the following year, but it didn’t reach the Top Fifty in any country. Shortly afterwards, her recording company dropped her, due to dismal sales. Fortunately, Valance still had her television career. She has appeared on Prison Break, CSI: NY, CSI: Miami and Entourage. She is also set to play a role alongside Liam Neeson this year, plus Valance will appear in yet another movie called The Tourist about the Balkan war.
